Megan Keeping finished third in her debut run at Gosford over 400m last night.
After jumping with the field, she suffered several checks, including jumping a fallen runner.
Megan was beaten four and three quarter lengths at the finish, with the winner recording a time of 22.93. Megan’s overall time was 23.23.
After speaking with trainer Jason Mackay this morning, he was pleased with the run considering the elements that weren’t on her side.
“Race ten wasn’t the best for her because she’s quite over the top.”
“I was pleased she held her position to the line and we were lucky she wasn’t the dog that fell.”
Her next start is to be determined.
