Megan Keeping Looks the Goods in New Years Gift At Maitland

After a sizzling debut performance at Maitland last Thursday, Megan Keeping will exit from box eight in the Betezy New Years Gift Final tomorrow afternoon over 400m.

Megan quickly sped to the lead in her heat last week and clocked a best of the day time of 22.31, pleasing trainer Jason Mackay in her first start at the track since a solo trial several weeks ago.

“She didn’t jump that well, but mustered good pace to get to the lead early. What really pleased me was her strong run home.”

Clocking a flying run home time of 6.59, Megan has a great chance to notch up her seventh career win tomorrow from a favourable box eight draw.

“I really like her from box eight and I think if she jumps good she will go well again.”

Greyhound Racing New South Wales analysts’ have described her chances as “Went like a torpedo winning here last week in blistering figures. Ideally boxed out wide to swoosh to the front at the first bend and put rivals to the sword.”
