Megan Keeping has recorded another best of the day performance, this time over the 450m journey at Maitland, this past Thursday afternoon.

Exiting from box three in race three, the Jason Mackay trained chaser opened at skinny odds of just $1.60 and didn’t disappoint punters, leading all the way in a blistering time of 25.09.

The daughter of Cosmic Rumble and Indigo Gem scored by four and a quarter lengths at the finish and recorded sizzling early sectionals of 7.73 and 18.26, with a run home time of 6.83.

Mackay was very happy with her performance and hopes she can continue to improve over the coming weeks.

“That was her first 450m race for me and she was outstanding.”

Megan Keeping’s win on Thursday was the seventh of her career from fifteen starts, with six of her wins in best of the day figures.
