Race A Chaser’s Megan Keeping will exit from box six in this week’s $5,000 to the winner Maitland Gold Cup Final this Thursday over 400m.

After a sizzling personal best performance last week in 22.29, Megan has an impeccable record over the 400m distance at Maitland, recording three wins from four starts including a second placing.

Trainer Jason Mackay is confident in her ability, but admits it’s a very hard race to win.

“Box six isn’t ideal for her, she needs to jump with them to be any chance of winning.”

“I’m confident she can go well and get across from that alley, so hopefully she puts it all together at the start.”

Megan is currently $2.50 fixed odds and has been selected by GRNSW analysts as the likely winner.
