Race A Chaser team all on track this week

IT HAS been another successful week on the track for Race A Chaser syndications, with Megan Keeping scoring a strong 23.94 victory at Bendigo on Friday night.

Trained by Kelly Bravo, Megan pushed through early, scoring a convincing victory on the line.

The daughter of Cosmic Rumble and Indigo Gem has now won 15 races from 31 starts, including her last two in a row, with Bravo very happy with her most recent performance.

“I thought it was a really good run,” Bravo said.

“We thought after her win out of the pink the run before that she was going to be better suited off the track, but on Friday she had box two and she faced a fair bit of pressure early, so we were very happy with the way she pushed through.

“On top of that she has run the best of the night at her last two starts, you can’t ask her to do much more than that.”

Megan Keeping is set to race this Thursday night at Warrnambool where she will exit box four in race eight.

“She has box four this Thursday, but I still think its a race she can win if she can find the front.

“With her it all depends on how she begins, but I am expecting to see another nice run out of her because she is racing with a lot of confidence at the moment.”

Race A Chaser syndicates will also be represented by Noakis Girl this week, with the regally bred daughter of Big Daddy Cool and Noaki Pace contesting the third race at Ballarat on Wednesday night.

Noakis Girl will jump from box two following on from her emphatic 22.30 maiden victory over the track and trip last week.

“I am really happy with her and she has drawn well,” Bravo said.

“If she does what she did last week then it is probably a race that she should win. I know that she has got a bit of age on her, but she is still learning and we are expecting her to keep improving.”

Rounding out the team news for this week is Jaguara which will contest a 500 metre race at Bendigo on Friday night. The black greyhound had no luck last week at Geelong, finishing fourth in a maiden final over 460 metres.

Bravo is confident that Jaguara will appreciate the step up in trip this week.

“500 is more his caper – in trials he has indicated that he is a strong dog rather than a speed dog.

“It is a bend start, but as long as he doesn’t walk out and get himself tangled up he should go alright.”

Jaguara will race at 4:24pm on Friday afternoon.
